What We Do

FAA works with communities to advance adolescent health and reproductive justice, inclusive education and livelihoods, youth empowerment, and climate justice and resilience. Through locally led and evidence-driven solutions, we create opportunities, advance rights, strengthen inclusion, and build resilient communities where everyone can thrive.

Adolescent Health & Reproductive Justice:

Every girl deserves knowledge, choice, dignity and access to quality health services. We advance adolescent SRHR, menstrual justice, gender equality and reproductive justice.

Inclusive Education & Livelihoods:

Inclusion creates opportunity. We support children, families and communities to overcome barriers to education, economic participation and social inclusion.

Youth Empowerment:

Young people are not beneficiaries of the future they are leaders of today. We equip youth with skills, voice, networks and opportunities to shape their communities.

Climate Justice & Resilience:

Communities facing climate vulnerability deserve solutions that protect both people and livelihoods. We promote locally led climate adaptation, sustainable livelihoods and resilient communities.

Every Girl Deserves Dignity, Choice and a Voice

Girls with disabilities in Eastern DRC face multiple and intersecting barriers to health, education, protection and participation.

Conflict, poverty, stigma, harmful gender norms, inaccessible schools and health facilities, and limited family support can prevent them from accessing essential SRHR information and services.

FAA is working to change this.

Through an integrated, disability-inclusive approach, FAA works with girls, families, schools, health facilities and communities to break down the barriers that keep people excluded.

We strengthen access to inclusive sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) services, empower girls and families with knowledge and confidence, transform schools and health facilities into more accessible and welcoming spaces, and strengthen communities to lead solutions that last.
