Peacebuilding & Humanitarian Assistance:
FAA promotes lasting peace and social cohesion in conflict-affected communities of Eastern DRC. Through dialogue, reconciliation, and community-based conflict resolution, we strengthen trust between divided groups. Our humanitarian interventions provide lifesaving relief food, shelter, and psychosocial support for displaced populations and survivors of violence. FAA works closely with local leaders and youth networks to reduce tensions, prevent future conflicts, and foster inclusive participation in rebuilding community life.
Education
FAA believes education is the cornerstone of lasting transformation. We promote inclusive and quality learning opportunities for all children, with special attention to marginalized groups such as girls and children with disabilities. Our programs support access to school materials, teacher training, and safe learning environments. We also empower parents and communities to value education as a pathway out of poverty and conflict.
WASH & Community Health Development
FAA strengthens community well-being by improving access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene while promoting essential health services. Our programs focus on maternal and child health, reproductive rights, and disease prevention. Through WASH and community health interventions, we strengthen health systems, empower families with healthier living conditions, and build resilience. These efforts ensure that vulnerable populations, especially women and children, can thrive in safe, dignified, and supportive environments.
Poverty Reduction and Economic Empowerment
Recognizing poverty as a driver of conflict and exclusion, FAA works to empower vulnerable households, particularly women and youth, with sustainable livelihoods. It facilitates entrepreneurship, vocational training, and savings groups that strengthen self-reliance and economic dignity. FAA also advocates for inclusive economic policies that respond to community realities by fostering local initiatives and linking them to broader markets. Climate Change Action
In areas repeatedly struck by armed violence, displacement, and environmental crises, FAA combines disaster recovery with climate change adaptation. It supports affected families through emergency assistance, psychosocial care, and livelihood restoration while promoting community-based preparedness. FAA also engages communities in climate-smart agriculture, reforestation, and environmental stewardship to reduce vulnerabilities.
