FAA at a Glance

Fondation Amani & Afya is a community-based non-profit organization operating in North and South Kivu, DRC. FAA is dedicated to advancing peacebuilding, social cohesion, education, poverty reduction, community health, and climate change resilience. Through advocacy, institutional capacity strengthening, and inclusive community engagement, FAA empowers vulnerable populations, fosters resilience, and promotes human rights to drive sustainable development and lasting community transformation.

Our History in Short

Fondation Amani & Afya (FAA) was established in late 2019 to operate in North and South Kivu, DRC, amid decades of conflict, poverty, and social inequalities affecting most communities in the region. Emerging from grassroots initiatives, FAA focused on peacebuilding, community health, and inclusive development as pathways to resilience. Since then, it has expanded to address poverty reduction, education, and disaster recovery. Guided by advocacy, capacity building, and community engagement, FAA continues to champion sustainable peace and well-being in conflict-affected communities.
