FAA at a Glance

Fondation Amani & Afya is a community-based non-profit organization operating in North and South Kivu, DRC. FAA is dedicated to advancing peacebuilding & Humanitarian Assistance, Education, Poverty Reduction & Economic Empowerment, WASH & Community Health, and Climate Change Action. Through advocacy, institutional capacity strengthening, and inclusive community engagement, FAA empowers vulnerable populations, fosters resilience, and promotes human rights to drive sustainable development and lasting community transformation.

What we Do

Peacebuilding & Humanitarian Assistance:

FAA promotes lasting peace and social cohesion in conflict-affected communities of Eastern DRC. Through dialogue, reconciliation, and community-based conflict resolution, we strengthen trust between divided groups. Our humanitarian interventions provide lifesaving relief food, shelter, and psychosocial support for displaced populations and survivors of violence. FAA works closely with local leaders and youth networks to reduce tensions, prevent future conflicts, and foster inclusive participation in rebuilding community life.

FAA believes education is the cornerstone of lasting transformation. We promote inclusive and quality learning opportunities for all children, with special attention to marginalized groups such as girls and children with disabilities.
